Message	get a 4 inch angle grinder and a flapper / sanding wheel for it to only remove what you need. You can keep the tow hooks if you do this. It will also help provide something to help hold pipes in place. If you look through this old thread of my build, you can see some pics of both Recirc valve and the I/C piping.
